Digital Microscope

Optical Microscope

Since the digital microscope incorporates its own integrated illumination, observation can be made simply by pointing the camera at the target. There is no need for preliminary setup. Anyone can reproduce the same image.       It takes a great deal of time to set up the illumination. Because the target image varies depending on the lighting, it is difficult to obtain the same image every time.

Advantages of the digital microscope

Integrated illumination eliminates the need for setup procedures
  - Speedy: anyone can take a picture easily and with ideal lighting.

One-touch lighting shift function

Bijective illumination is an effective way to enhance the projections and depressions of a target. The VHX-100 provides a lighting shift function which immediately switches the illumination mode to bijective illumination when the unevenness enhancement button on the front panel of the controller is pressed. Target surface projections and depressions are instantly enhanced.

Surjective illumination mode
Bijective illumination mode
All light sources at the tip of the camera unit turn on.
Only one-fourth of the light sources turn on. Projections and depressions are enhanced.

Illumination adapter

Anyone can easily reproduce optimal lighting conditions to observe a variety of targets simply by using various adapters. Adapters can be used for coaxial vertical illumination, which is ideal for observation of metal surfaces and ICs in a bright visual field; for polarization illumination, which eliminates regular reflection; and for diffuse illumination, which prevents halation. No special expertise is required to use the adapters; they can easily be attached to the front of the lens.
