Digital microscopes use this function to ensure more accurate observation by eliminating user errors. Even when the measurement point specified by clicking the mouse on the screen is deviated, the edge of the target is detected to correct the measurement point automatically. On the KEYENCE VHX-1000 this function realizes accurate and highly reliable dimension measurement by eliminating the reading errors of operators.
Auto Calibration (VHX-1000)
Automated calibration
according to the observation magnification can be performed
using the special glass scale (option), enabling accurate
dimension measurements without significant measurement
errors.
Discrimination lines are displayed under the scale marks.
The pitch of the scale marks is recognized by differentiating
the number of lines through image processing. Calibration
is performed by counting the 3CCD pixels between the pitches.
Area/Count/Auto Measurement (VHX-1000)
The target of the measurement can be extracted automatically by differentiating the brightness and colors in the image. The area and the perimeter length are measured. The number of extracted areas can be counted automatically as well.
Various Measurement Modes (KEYENCE VHX-1000)
A standard feature on most high end
digital microscopes is the ability to display independently
catpured images on a monitor screen split horizontally,
vertically or into four parts.
Various measurement modes
The radius of the circle
can be measured by specifying the desired three points
on the screen.
Specify three points on
the circumference to find the coordinate of the circle
center. The distance between two circle centers can be
measured by specifying two circles sequentially.
The distance between two
points on the screen can be measured by specifying the
points with the cursor.
The longitudinal (X-direction), transversal (Ydirection) and diagonal (D-direction) distances of a rectangle formed by four coordinate axes (two in the X-direction and two in the Ydirection) can be measured at one time.
