The streamlined pre-processing has cut image capture time by 90%, greatly reducing research time.

Our main tasks include the observation of mixed foreign materials and sections of sheets, which we used to do using conventional microscopes. Before observing sections of sheets, we first had a lot of pre-processing to do, such as hardening them with resin and grinding. But with the digital microscope, preparing and capturing the target object takes just one tenth of the time or less, because the great depth of field and flexible microscope angle adjustability means we can make observations immediately after cutting the sheet.In addition, since the digital microscope makes observation so easy, we are able to check more targets that have not been observed before, helping us to improve data quality and analyze research results faster.

We can now take photos for only 1/8 the cost, and in 1/4 the time, yet with higher image quality.

We used to use a conventional microscope to check for defects in processed products. Upon detecting a fault, we would take photos of the item with the microscope and a Polaroid camera, but only specialized staff could take good pictures. With the introduction of the digital microscope, anyone can take good pictures, so the costs of developing, printing and enlarging have been reduced to one eighth. Picture-taking can be done in a quarter of the time\a 750-minute reduction per month. Also, because the digital microscope makes observation so much easier, each member of the team is able to view smaller items, resulting in a quality increase.

Issues concerning repair charges have decreased. With the digital microscope, itfs easy to take pictures of failed parts. By attaching pictures to the repair report, customers can better understand the invoice. As a result, claims relating to repair charges have significantly decreased, and customer trust has increased.
