54 Megapixel Image Capture
Super high resolution observation
The Pixel Shift method provides super high resolution images with excellent color reproduction*
Despite its compact size, the camera can capture images of up to 54 million pixels, using an actuator to
shift the CCD. A flicker-free progressive scan method allows texture expression and color reproduction
similar to observation with the naked eye.
* The 18 million pixels x 3CCD mode achieves both excellent color reproduction and super high resolution images.

Selectable resolutions suited for observation purposes
• 54 Mega-pixel, 18 Mega-pixel x 3CCD mode (2000TV lines)
• 18 Mega-pixel ultra-high-definition mode (2000 TV lines)
• 8 Mega-pixel high-definition mode (1600TV lines)
• 6 Mega-pixel, 2 Mega-pixel x 3CCD mode (1200TV lines)
• 2.11 Mega-pixel normal mode (1000TV lines)
Adjustable frame rate for smooth observation
With a frame rate of 15 or 28 frames per second, imaging with the VHX-2000 is similar to viewing with the human eyes. Users can move around on a sample, adjust focus or change magnification without any lag in observation.
High-Performance Graphics Engine - REMAX IV
When performing image stitching, High Dynamic Range, pixel shifting, etc., a vast amount of information (texture/color) needs to be instantly calculated in order to provide seamless observation. The VHX-2000 Digital Microscope is equipped with a high-speed graphics engine, specifically designed to handle the data intensive calculations of the microscope software.
