RZ Lens |
| Real Zoom Lens |
The VHX-600 uses the RZ (real zoom) lens, a high-performance lens that can correct chromatic aberration to an ideal value. Through the leading-edge optical design and advanced illumination technology, the VHX-600 can minimize aberration distortion. Furthermore, with the highly-telecentric lens design, the RZ lens can create extremely clear depth composition images and 3D images. By making the best use of the digital focus functions that are the essential feature of the VHX Series, the high-performance RZ lens enables real observation as its name expresses.
The lens unit is comprised of 24 lenses in total, including 13 lenses for the objective section, and 11 lenses for the zoom section. Using a silica lens, the VHX-600 can correct chromatic aberration. |

VH-Z100UR: UNIVERSAL ZOOM LENS [NEW]
Makes Differential Interference Contrast Observation Possible |
| Differential Interference Contrast Observation |
| In Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) observation, a DIC prism is inserted into the lens, splitting the light path in two. The light reflected from the target by these two beams is then recombined, enabling the optical path difference caused by irregularities on the surface of the target to be expressed as contrast. DIC makes it possible to view minute irregularities and transparent targets - objects that cannot be observed using conventional lenses - with good contrast. |
How can a DIC Prism help with microscope analysis? |
| Crystal clear observation of irregularities that cannot be seen with bright field observation |
| Splitting the light path in two using a high-contrast DIC prism, and filtering the reflected light, allows minute irregularities on the target to be observed. This gives clear images of scratches on glass or metal, and warping in film and other targets. |
| Height differences are indicated in color |
| When a λ plate is combined with DIC observation to project polarized light onto the target, the reflected light undergoes a phase change which causes height differences to appear as changes in color. This provides the observer with a visual representation of minute irregularities on the target. |
| Best Resolution in its Class |
| KEYENCE has combined its knowledge gained from years of experience in the microscope field with its optical technology to give the VH-Z100UR the best resolution in its class. This lens works in conjunction with the VHX CCD to allow microscope imaging to reach its full resolution potential. |

| 10x Optical Zoom, Wide Range Magnification from 100x to 1000x |
| The VH-Z100UR inherits the VH-Z100R's observation distance of 25 mm with 100x to 1000x magnification. It provides high-precision observation in both bright and dark fields across a wide magnification range. It also supports a variety of applications including polarization and differential interference contrast. |

Long-distance, High-performance Zoom Lens [VH-Z50]
Long monitoring distance of 85 mm with 500x magnification |
![Long-distance, High-performance Zoom Lens [VH-Z50]](img/vhz50.jpg)

Monitoring distance: 85 mm |
| With the state-of-the-art optical design and advanced illumination technology, the LW lens has achieved a long monitoring distance of 85 mm with a magnification of up to 500x.
The deep recess in a target can be observed with a sharp image. The wider working space ensures significant improvement in the monitoring efficiency. |
10x optical zoom |
The wide-range design enables seamless monitoring of targets by capturing from a whole image to a magnified image.
You can change the magnification while keeping the 85 mm monitoring distance, resulting in a great improvement in the work efficiency. |
3 times deeper than before |
The "deep depth of field", which is one of the biggest features of microscopes, has been enhanced further.
A depth of field at least three times deeper compared to conventional models ensures observation of sharp images of targets with uneven surfaces. |
High Resolution Zoom Lens [VH-Z500]
Wide-range zoom lens offers high resolution and large depth of field. |

Numerical Aperture (N.A.) of 0.82 at 4.4 mm |
| Optical aberration has been minimized by using 24 high-grade lenses. The large-diameter spherical lens has achieved an observation distance of 4.4 mm. This is an ideal zoom lens featuring both high resolution and ease of use. |
Optical Zoom from 500x to 5000x |
| The development of this high-resolution lens with almost no optical aberration easily provides a zoom range 10 times wider than conventional models. High-resolution images with minimum distortion can be obtained within the entire zoom range. |
Wide Range Zoom Lens [VH-Z100]
Wide-range zoom lens offers high resolution and large depth of field. |

Zoom from 100x to 1000x at 25 mm |
| The wide range design allows continuous zoom for applications ranging from finding a target point to analyzing magnified images. The observation distance is constant at 25 mm through the entire zoom range. This is an easy-to-use, all-around zoom lens that can be used in almost any application. |
Ideal for 3D Image Generation |
| The VH-Z100 incorporates high-resolution lenses which have been optimized for creating 3D images. It has 2.5 times higher resolution than conventional lenses. Combined with the VHX-600 digital microscope, high quality 3D images can be reproduced. |
Excellent Depth of Field |
| The VH-Z100 has a depth of field approximately 2-times higher than that of conventional modles. The flare generated by irregular reflection of illumination light has been significantly reduced by precisely examining the curvature of each lens and applying our original lens coating technology. Both high resolution and high depth of field are achieved by adding an optical aperture to the bright, high-contrast lenses. |
Ultra-small, high-performance zoom lens[VH-Z20]
The VH-Z20 offers high-resolution observation at generalpurpose magnifications of 20x to 200x. Furthermore, the large depth of field, that is a feature of the conventional VHX Series, has been further enhanced. |

Excellent depth of field: Approx. twice as large as conventional len |
| The large depth of field, which is the greatest feature of the VHX Series microscope, has been intensified further. The VH-Z20 provides a larger depth of field than conventional lenses. You can observe a target easily with uneven surface conditions. |
Approx. twice the resolution of conventional lenses |
As a result of concentrating many years of microscope experience and the
essence of KEYENCE optical technologies, the VH-Z20 is designed to
provide high-class resolution. |
Variable illumination adapter
(Optical adapters) |
With the KEYENCE-original optical mechanism, the variable illumination adapter covers both vertical illumination and lateral illumination without irregularity in the illuminating conditions.
The optimal illumination angle can be selected. |
Coaxial vertical illumination adapter
(Optical adapters) |
| The coaxial vertical illumination adapter emits light parallel to the lens axis. Using this adapter, the microscope can retain sufficient light quantity for illumination. This adapter is useful for observation of metal microstructures, IC, etc. in a bright visual field. |
